Their senior leadership (spanning from CTO to CEO), have a profound grasp of technology, developing strategic partnerships that fuel the company's rapid expansion, including the selection of Microsoft Azure as the Banks’s preferred cloud platform.

The Challenge

A track record of impressive organic growth coupled with strategic acquisitions has propelled our client to a size where a uniform cloud strategy, spanning architecture, development and operations becomes imperative for the business. The collaboration with BlakYaks is aimed at accelerating the client’s Azure program, working in partnership with a strong internal team to drive the adoption of new DevOps standards across the bank.

The Solution

The DevOps Squad from BlakYaks collaborated closely with the client's internal teams to establish a robust Azure DevOps-based Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) system. Red Hat Ansible was also deployed to facilitate efficient application delivery and state management in Azure, seamlessly aligning with the customer's strategic direction. Our role included platform engineering capacity and day-to-day Azure operational services which allowed key client team members to focus on more strategic activities, for example, a developer “self-service” solution was jointly delivered to optimise resource provisioning (PaaS, SQL) and improve security across the bank.

Outcomes

The collaboration with BlakYaks has streamlined DevOps processes and tool sets across the bank. Technology teams are now well positioned to respond to changing client demands, launching new digital services into the market, at speed, whilst controlling costs, reducing waste, and driving operational excellence.
