BlakYaks solutions now live on Microsoft Azure Marketplace!

Our consulting services are now publicly accessible on the Azure Marketplace

We are happy to announce that our key services and solutions are now listed and made available for purchase on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, making our solutions more transparent and accessible for our current and future customers and partners.

While we want our customers to continue to come to us directly, customers and partners have the option to check out some of our consulting services and solutions via the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, knowing that they have been verified by Microsoft and are compliant with the Microsoft’s Azure marketplace standards.

BlakYaks are first-class exponents of Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Cloud-Native, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and cloud security. We advocate the importance of high-quality design, covering both the technology landscape and the operational framework needed to manage Azure environments efficiently and cost-effectively at scale. Our services range from Azure cloud assessments, enterprise container platform designs, compliance checks to security assessments, through to transition and support services.

The Azure Marketplace is an online store for buying and selling cloud apps and services designed to run and be integrated with Microsoft’s public cloud. The solutions listed on the marketplace come from Microsoft directly or from its technology partners and at the moment BlakYaks have 10 offerings available on the marketplace. Below you can read a summary of our available services listed on the marketplace.

If you want to find out more about each service and its business benefits, just click on the solution button to get directed to the service’s full details on Azure Marketplace.

BlakYaks will provide customers with an enterprise-grade design for Azure landing zones that is deployed with quality Infrastructure as Code modules. When designing landing zones its important to consider the full eco-system of technology services, processes, policies, and organisational needs and how landing zones cater for the various environments needed from sandbox and development through to production and regional fail-over zones.

In designing these landing zones, BlakYaks will work hand in hand with the customer to ensure the environment is built securely and is compliant with the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework whilst making use of Azure Policy and CIS benchmarks to deliver an enterprise-grade platform ready host production grade services and support a large consumer community.

BlakYaks will assess how ready the customer is to run production container platform services in Microsoft Azure. We will review existing plans, architectures, designs, operational frameworks and thinking to identify any key gaps that exist that would compromise platform stability, scalability, security, operational efficiencies.

We will look for opportunity for optimisations that will enhance the quality of the ECP (enterprise container platform) service on offer to the business. We will assess the approach to infrastructure as code and DevOps as well as the tools and technologies (3rd party and open source) planned to manage the deploy and manage the platform through its entire life cycle.

BlakYaks specialise in delivering enterprise grade Azure DevOps and IaC. This readiness assessment is geared around validating the strategy and approach a customer is taking to ensure the Azure platforms can be built and managed at scale effectively with good automation and DevOps practices at the heart of the strategy.

BlakYaks will make an assessment and compare with good industry practice and our own establish patterns and identify key gaps and provide guidance and direction, working in tandem with our customers own cloud engineering team/s. The engagement will culminate in a detailed plan that stakeholders are agreed upon to establish an effective approach to DevOps and IaC.

This Azure platform security and compliance assessment is a detailed inspection of a customer’s approach to deploying and maintaining a strong security posture across key production Azure services. Our expert team will review how Azure policy and CIS benchmarks are being used along with security tools and processes to maintain a strong security posture throughout the life cycle of the platform.

As a CIS SecureSuite member we are able to check the security approach of the Azure platforms as well as the services that are hosted on that platform. The engagement will culminate in a security and compliance risk report and gap analysis with key recommendations pertaining to strategy, tools, processes, policies and controls.

Azure Redhat Openshift (ARO) is a comprehensive solution for hosting container workloads at scale on Microsoft Azure. Getting the ARO design right is a key step before production workloads and services are deployed.

BlakYaks have established enterprise grade designs, patterns and frameworks that help prepare a customer for deploying ARO safely and securely and ready to be managed at any scale. This engagement provides a comprehensive high-level design that includes core eco-system technologies, processes, policies and an operational framework.

Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) is a comprehensive solution for hosting container workloads at scale on Microsoft Azure. This “build” engagement naturally follows the BlakYaks ARO design engagement but can also be provided standalone for customers that are approaching the end, or have completed of an enterprise Azure ARO design cycle already.

Getting the ARO enterprise build right is a critical step before deploying production workloads,  services and data. BlakYaks have established enterprise grade designs, builds, IP and operational frameworks that help customers prepare fully for hosting business services safely and securely and ready to be operated at scale.

Microsoft’s Kubernetes implementation (AKS) is a comprehensive solution for hosting container workloads at scale on Microsoft Azure. Getting the AKS design just right is a key step before production workloads and services are deployed.

BlakYaks have established enterprise grade designs, patterns and frameworks that help prepare a customer for deploying AKS safely and securely with a mature operational framework ready for managing at scale. This engagement provides a comprehensive high-level design that includes core eco-system technologies, processes, policies and an operational framework.

Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a comprehensive solution for hosting container workloads at scale on Microsoft Azure. This “build” engagement naturally follows the BlakYaks Azure AKS design engagement but can also be provided standalone for customers that are approaching the end, or have completed of an enterprise Azure AKS design cycle already.

Getting the AKS enterprise build just right is a critical step before deploying production workloads, services and data. BlakYaks have established enterprise grade designs, builds, IP and operational frameworks that help customers prepare fully for hosting business services safely and securely and ready to be operated at scale.

Enterprise container and Kubernetes platforms require a new approach when designing and maintaining the right security posture. An Azure-hosted enterprise container platform (ECP) that must be secure, compliant and stable often results in new technologies, processes, policies, controls, governance, methods and security operations frameworks.

BlakYaks will assess how ready the customer is to secure the enterprise container platform and manage its security posture through its lifecycle. We will review existing plans, architectures, designs, operational frameworks and thinking to identify any key gaps that exist that would compromise platforms scalability and security. We will look for opportunity to optimise and will enhance the security posture and its compliance to standards, controls and policies on an ongoing basis.

The engagement will culminate in a detailed report with a table of focus areas categorised into technology, process, policy, controls and people with key recommendations and priorities clearly defined in terms of business benefit and risk mitigation.

10. Azure Platform SRE Services

All cloud platforms require ongoing maintenance and management to keep them stable, secure, compliant, scalable and up-to-date. While Microsoft provide the support for the underlying Azure platform, the customer (and partners) are responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support for the architectures and platforms that have been derived using the cloud providers services and any 3rd party and open-source technologies deployed.

BlakYaks offer a modern managed service & SRE service for any Azure-hosted platform they have been involved in the design, build, configuration, coding or integration of. BlakYaks will also offer the same managed and SRE service for any Azure-hosted platform if they have assessed and signed-off or remediated and proven ready for mainstream operation using modern SRE methods.

Here there are two scenarios:
