BlakYaks earns a new "Security” Partner Designation, our fourth Microsoft Solutions Partner Designation, solidifying our team’s commitment to security and excellence in cloud native solutions
We are proud to announce we have achieved “Microsoft’s Solution Partner for Security” status, our fourth MS Partner Designation.
Having already earned designations in three Azure solution areas (Azure Digital & App Innovation with a Kubernetes advanced specialisation, Azure Infrastructure, and Data & AI), a notable achievement for a company of our size, this new accomplishment complements our recent Cyber Essentials+ certification (read more here), underscoring our dedication to safeguarding our clients' digital environments and ensuring the highest level of security.
As cybersecurity threats continue to escalate in complexity and frequency, businesses are now more than ever in need of a comprehensive and robust security strategy.
Microsoft solutions play a pivotal role in this regard, offering powerful tools and technologies to assist organisations in protecting their sensitive data and preventing security breaches. The Microsoft Solutions Partner for Security designation is a recognition of BlakYaks’ total commitment to designing and building secure Azure platforms with code.
Our Microsoft Cloud Partner Program journey
BlakYaks first achieved Microsoft Gold Partner status in July 2021 and earned four gold competencies in a record time thanks to the dedication of our team.
A little over a year after, in October 2022, Microsoft revamped its Partner Network to reflect an increase in partner expectations and requirements. This overhaul resulted in the creation of the Cloud Partner Program, condensing the outdated silver and gold competencies into six partner designations with more rigorous criteria.
From the beginning, BlakYaks enthusiastically embraced this program, quicky earning badges such as the Azure Digital & App Innovation badge with a Kubernetes in Azure advanced specialisation, Azure Infrastructure badge, and more recently, the Data & AI badge.
Achieving Solutions Partner Designation for Security
To earn the Solutions Partner for Security Designation, partners are required to demonstrate a broad capability in helping customers safeguard their entire organisation through integrated security, compliance, and identity solutions.
Performance and customer success for the Security designation are evaluated based on a partner's deployed security solutions for both Azure and Microsoft 365. Meeting the skills requirement involves Microsoft Solutions Partner team members successfully completing various certifications related to security, including, but not limited to, the Azure Security Engineer certification.
